Deer Park 5, Ball High 0

DEER PARK – Deer Park topped Ball High in a game Friday.

David Hernandez had a pair of doubles for the Tors.

Cedar Ridge 1, Santa Fe 0

BRENHAM – Brandon Holder allowed just one run Friday at Fireman’s Park, but the Santa Fe Indians couldn’t get the offense going in a loss to Cedar Ridge. Holder struck out nine and gave up six hits in six innings.

Brenham 5, Santa Fe 2

BRENHAM – The Indians lost to Brenham on Friday.

Two runs in the top of the fourth helped the Santa Fe close their deficit to 3-2. A two-run double by Jordan Gunter sparked the rally. But, Yadir Muniz to flew out to end the inning.

Ball High 14, PA Memorial 9

BAYTOWN – Fans were treated to a high-scoring affair Friday as the Tornadoes outscored Port Arthur Memorial in seven innings.

Ball High pulled out the win thanks to a strong third inning. The Tors went up for good on a two-run single by Todd Streck plated Dean Best and Alvin Lee.

Jake Simon had two extra-base hits for Ball High with a single in the second inning, a double in the third inning and a homer in the fourth inning.

Clear Creek 10, FB Clements 2

LEAGUE CITY – The Clear Creek Wildcats pounded Fort Bend Clements on Saturday at Mallory Field in six innings.

Clear Creek scored five runs in the fourth on a hit-by-pitch, a three-run triple by Landon Etzel, and an RBI double by Harrison Hill.

Clear Springs 8, Pearland 7

LEAGUE CITY – Both Clear Springs and Pearland put runners aboard on Saturday, but it was the Chargers who were able to take advantage, pulling out a win.

Matt Currie racked up four RBIs on one hit for Chargers.

He homered in the fourth inning.

Dickinson 19, Spring Westfield 2

SPRING – The Gators beat Spring Westfield in five innings on Saturday after a 12-run explosion in the fourth inning.

Pierce Hollister racked up three RBIs on three hits for Dickinson. He singled in the first, fourth and fifth innings.

Fabian Guel got the win for Dickinson. He allowed one run in two innings.

Bellaire Episcopal 16, Clear Springs 4

LEAGUE CITY – Chargers scattered 10 hits on Saturday, but weren’t able to push enough runs across and lost to Episcopal.

Clear Falls 5, Manvel 5

LEAGUE CITY – Clear Falls and Manvel played to a tie on Saturday.

Chris Brandli racked up two RBIs on three hits for the Knights. He singled in the third, sixth and eighth innings.

Stafford 11, Hitchcock 4

Despite a big day at the dish from Dustin St. Clair, who finished 2-for-3, the Hitchcock Bulldogs lost to Stafford on Saturday.

Alvin 8, Clear Creek 7

LEAGUE CITY – A tight game was decided in the eighth inning as the Wildcats fell to Alvin on Saturday.

Houston Lamar 13, Santa Fe 3

MONTGOMERY – Despite Jordan Gunter’s 2-for-3 performance at the plate on Saturday, the Santa Fe Indians took a loss at the hands of Houston Lamar.

Softball

Santa Fe 4, Clear Falls 0

MISSOURI CITY – A great effort by Shelbi Sunseri spurred the Lady Indians to a win against Clear Falls on Friday in the Sienna-Missouri City Tournament.

Sunseri struck out nine and walked one in the six-inning complete game. Erin Palmer went 1-for-2 with an RBI, and Mycahla Howard and Haley Chavez each batted in a run.

Santa Fe 8, Pasadena Dobie 5

MISSOURI CITY – Erin Palmer went 2-for-3 as the Lady Indians took home a victory over Dobie in five innings at Sienna-Missouri City Tournament on Friday.

Palmer singled in the first and fourth innings and had two RBIs. Shelbi Sunseri also batted in two runs.

Stephanie Reed recorded the win for the Lady Indians, allowing five runs over five innings. She struck out six, walked one and gave up seven hits.

Ball High 3, Bellaire Episcopal 1

NEEDVILLE – The Lady Tors beat Episcopal on Friday at Needville behind Rosa Hernandez, who went 3-for-3 at the plate with an RBI.

She singled in the first, third and fifth innings.

Episcopal couldn’t get anything going as long as Cali Dolfi was pitching. Episcopal managed just one hit off Dolfi, who allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out four during her three innings of work.

Flour Mound 5, Santa Fe 1

MISSOURI CITY – Flour Mound scored five runs — only one of them earned — in a win Friday against Santa Fe in the Sienna-Missouri City Tournament.

The Lady Indians were held to just one hit in the game.

Ball High 7, Needville 6

NEEDVILLE – Lady Tors and Needville traded the lead five times on Friday, Ball High ended up on top baby scoring the winning run in the bottom of the seventh inning.

Doris Smith racked up three RBIs on one hit for Lady Tors.

Cali Dolfi was a workhorse on the mound to get the win, allowing one earned run, six hits and one walk while striking out nine over seven innings of work.

Ball High 2, Danbury 1

NEEDVILLE – Ball High’s starting pitcher Cali Dolfi doesn’t need much run support when she is on the mound and she showed it on Friday at Needville against Danbury.

Six strong innings by Dolfi carried Lady Tors Varsity to a win.

Clear Falls 5, Manvel 3

MISSOURI CITY – Both Clear Falls and Manvel put runners aboard on Friday, but it was the Knights who were able to take advantage, pulling out a win in Sienna Plantation Tournament.

Corrie Patrick got the win, giving up 2 earned runs, striking out two and walking two in five innings of work.

Clear Falls 6, Bryan 3

MISSOURI CITY – Misty Muniz had two extra base hits, sparking the Knights to a win against Bryan on Friday in the Sienna Plantation Tournament.

She homered in the second inning and doubled in the fifth inning.

Muniz also got the win for Clear Falls. She allowed three runs over six innings. She struck out one, walked four and surrendered seven hits.

Taylor Office, Taylor Troutt and Amber Pufal also helped lead Clear Falls Knights Varsity. They combined for eight hits and five RBIs.

Alvin 9, Clear Falls 1

MISSOURI CITY – Vanessa LeVick went 2-for-2 at the plate, but the Knights Varsity fell to Alvin in the Sienna Plantation Tournament on Thursday.

Ball High 3, West Columbia 2

NEEDVILLE – Rowan McLoughlin went 2-for-3 as Lady Tors beat West Columbia in seven innings on Saturday.

Cali Dolfi racked up nine strikeouts for the Lady Tors, allowing no earned runs on five hits and one walk over seven innings.

Boys soccer

Clear Creek 0, Clear Falls 0

LEAGUE CITY – Clear Creek beat Clear Falls on Friday in penalty kicks. Creek plays at Dickinson on Tuesday.

Girls soccer

Clear Springs 2, O’Connell 0

LEAGUE CITY – Lauren Rutherford and Danielle patterson scored goals in the first half for the Chargers, and the defense held the visiting Buccaneers scoreless in the second half to take the district win. Anna Hughes picked up the shutout in goal for the Chargers.

Clear Falls 3, Clear Creek 1

LEAGUE CITY – Clear Falls earned its fifth district win against Clear Creek on Friday.

Gina Nigro, Emma Stahr and Molly Dean scored for the Knights, with Leah Draper assisting on two and an Alli Watson on the other.
