Clear Brook 5, Clear Creek 2

FRIENDSWOOD — The Wolverines broke a 2-2 tie with three runs in the bottom of the sixth inning to best the Wildcats on Thursday in a District 24-5A contest.

An RBI single from Alex Smider broke the deadlock, and a two-run double by Jaclyn Molenaar gave Clear Brook some breathing room.

Laura Napoli earned the complete-game win, giving up two runs — one earned — on two hits with two walks and four strikeouts.

Katy Sawyer had a hit and one RBI for Clear Creek.

Clear Falls 9, Clear Springs 0 (5)

LEAGUE CITY — Madison Michna went 3-for-3 with two RBIs as the Knights made shirt work of the Chargers in a District 24-5A game Thursday.

Taylor Troutt went 2-for-2 with a double and scored three times for Clear Falls. Amber Pufal had two hits with a double and one RBI, Brooke Wilhite went 2-for-3 and drove in a run, and Madison Demers doubled and had one RBI.

Misty Muniz pitched all five shutout innings, allowing three hits and striking out one.
