Clear Falls 3, Clear Springs 2

LEAGUE CITY – Clear Falls starting pitcher Collin Fries struck out 10 Clear Springs batters to post a win Tuesday.

Fries allowed two runs on three hits and walked four batters.

Chris Brandli went 2-for-2 for the Knights, batted in a run and scored once, Josh Elvir went 2-for-3, and Mike Gaudet scored twice.

Reid Ballard took the loss for the Chargers, giving up three runs — one earned — on three hits in 22/3 innings of work. He struck out one and walked three batters.

Relievers Colby Day and Brad Nolen held the Knights scoreless the rest of the way.

Itchy Burts went 1-for-3 and scored a run for the Chargers, and Matt Williams went 1-for-3 with an RBI.

Brazoswood 8, Dickinson 1

DICKINSON – Brazoswood scored four runs in the top of the first inning on the way to a win against Dickinson.

David Richardson took the loss for the Gators, giving up five runs — four earned — on six hits.

Logan Alexander went 2-for-3 for Dickinson with an RBI, and Joey Silvas went 1-for-3 and scored a run.

Clear Creek 9, Clear Brook 2

LEAGUE CITY – Clear Creek broke open a tie game with seven runs in the fifth inning Tuesday in a win against Clear Brook.

Starting pitcher Zack Esquivel got the win for the Wildcats, giving up one run on three hits, striking out seven and walking three in six innings.

Michael Rohland, Anthony Cole and Landon Etzel each doubled for Clear Creek, Satchel McElroy went 1-for-4 with two RBIs and scored a run, and Harrison Hill went 2-for-4 with two RBIs and a run scored.

Santa Fe 4, Baytown Lee 2

SANTA FE – Preston Plovanich gave up one run in five innings to get the win as the Indians beat the Ganders on Tuesday.

Plovanich, who also went 2-for-3 at the plate with two RBIs, struck out nine batters and walked four.

Timothy Johnson went 2-for-3 with an RBI, Jordan Gunter went 1-for-4 with a double, and Chase Daughtery walked three times and scored two runs.

Texas City 15, Galena Park 1 (5)

TEXAS CITY – The Stings scored 10 runs in the second inning and five more in the third on their way to a blowout win against Galena Park on Tuesday.

Michael Herrera went 2-for-3 with three RBIs and three runs scored, and Michael Martinez went 2-for-2 with a double, two RBIs and two runs scored.

Ian Lovejoy got the win for the Stings, allowing one hit and one run in four innings while striking out three and walking two.
