Clear Creek 2, A&M Consolidated 0

NEW BRAUNFELS – The Clear Creek Wildcats finished off a perfect 3-0 day at the Fraulein Volleyfest tournament on Thursday with a 25-20, 25-19 win over A&M Consolidated.

Melody Horton and Melissa McNeil led the Wildcats in kills with eight.

Alison Donovan had a team-high seven digs. Mariah Pardo had 22 assists and two blocks.

Clear Creek moves on to a new pool at the tournament today.

Opponents will be Austin Westlake, Cedar Park Vista Ridge and Spring Branch Smithson Valley.

Clear Creek 2, Lubbock Coronado 1

NEW BRAUNFELS – Clear Creek faced its toughest test during the second match of Thursday’s Fraulein Volleyfest, defeating Lubbock Coronado, 21-25, 25-17, 25-17.

Melody Horton was Clear Creek’s kills leader in the match with 17, followed by Melissa McNeil with 14. Mariah Pardo had a team-best 18 digs and 40 assists.

Clear Creek 2, Leander 0

NEW BRAUNFELS – Clear Creek opened the Fraulein Volleyfest tournament on Thursday with an emphatic 25-10, 25-14 win over Leander.

Melody Horton led the Wildcats in kills with nine and aces with five. Melissa McNeil and Mariah Pardo tied for the team lead in digs with four each.

Pardo added a team-high 16 assists, and Horton chipped in six kills and two aces.

Santa Fe 2, FW Timber Creek 0

FORT WORTH – The Santa Fe Lady Indians won their final match of the day to finish 2-1 at the Northwest ISD tournament on Thursday, topping Timber Creek, 25-18, 25-9.

Keegan Nelms led Santa Fe in kills with 13 and digs with 11. Cayla Hockenbury had a team-high 17 assists.

The Lady Indians continue play at the tournament today as they enter the championship pools.

Santa Fe 2, Midlothian 1

FORT WORTH – Santa Fe bounced back from an opening loss by edging out Midlothian, 24-26, 25-22, 25-21, in its second match Thursday at the Northwest ISD tournament.

Keegan Nelms had a team-best 23 kills and added 15 digs. Jordan Jewell led Santa Fe in digs with 21. Cayla Hockenbury was the team leader in assists with 26 and chipped in 13 digs.

Waxahatchie 2, Santa Fe 1

FORT WORTH – Santa Fe dropped a close match, 17-25, 25-21, 22-25, to Waxahatchie to begin the Northwest ISD tournament on Thursday.

Madison Ogden was the Lady Indians kills leader with 14, and she also contributed 14 digs. Jordan Jewell led in digs with 23, and Cayla Hockenbury paced the team in assists with 26.
