Clear Falls 7, Clear Brook 2

LEAGUE CITY — The Knights surged ahead Tuesday with six runs in the bottom of the sixth to blast past Clear Brook in a District 24-5A game.

Clear Falls had only five hits but were able to take advantage of three errors by the Wolverines.

Adam Prentice and Jordan Aleman each had a hit and one RBI for the Knights.

Collin Fries earned the win in relief, tossing two shutout innings, giving up one hit with four strikeouts.

Santa Fe 2, Ball High 1

SANTA FE — Brandon Holder pitched seven strong innings and drove in both of the Indians’ runs in a District 24-4A win Tuesday over the Tors.

Holder smacked a two-run single in the bottom of the third to break a scoreless tie, helping his own cause. He earned the complete-game win on the mound, allowing one earned run on four hits with five strikeouts and four walks.

Ball High scored in the top of the fifth on a sacrifice fly from David Hernandez.

Tors starter Jake Simon was the tough-luck loser, giving up only two earned runs on four hits with two walks and 10 strikeouts.

Clear Creek 13, Dickinson 2

DICKINSON — Satchel McElroy went 3-for-5 with a double, a homer and three RBIs to lead the Wildcats past the Gators on Tuesday in District 24-5A action.

Anthony Cole had two hits with a double and two RBIs for Clear Creek, and teammate Sean Kelly went 3-for-3 with two doubles.

Landon Etzel, Harrison Hill, Jacob Mihalski, Stephen Garcia, Taylor Sammons, Ben Rigby and Michael Rohland each drove in a run for the Wildcats.

Joey Silvas went 3-for-3 for Dickinson, and both Marcus Ingram and Alex Jimenez had one RBI.
