Ball High 3, Santa Fe 0

GALVESTON – Jake Simon held Santa Fe scoreless for six innings, helping Ball High to a victory over Santa Fe on Friday.

He allowed four hits, gave up two walks and struck out six.

Alvin Lee went 1-for-1 and scored a run.

Starter Preston Plovanich went 2-for-3 from the plate for the Indians and gave up three runs — two earned — on five hits. He struck out 10 batters and allowed two walks.

The Tors never trailed after scoring one run in the first on an RBI single by Simon.

Ball High pushed one more run across in the bottom of the fifth when Lee stole home.

Santa Fe 13, Galena Park 3 (5)

SANTA FE – Jordan Gunter clubbed two home runs Tuesday to carry the Santa Fe Indians to a win against Galena Park in five innings.

The Indians pounded Galena Park pitching, as six batters combined for 11 hits, 11 RBIs and 10 runs scored.

Clear Springs 4, Clear Lake 0

HOUSTON – Tuesday was a great day for Blake Chisolm as he threw a shutout to carry the Chargers to a victory against Clear Lake.

Chisolm kept Clear Lake off the scoreboard for all seven innings he was on the bump. He pitched a shutout, allowing no opposing players to cross the plate on two hits while ringing up nine.

The Chargers added two more runs in the top of the sixth. The inning got off to a hot start when Itchy Burts singled, plating Tyrone Thomas. That was followed up by Jacob Ramirez’s single, scoring Burts.

Clear Creek 11, La Porte 4

LEAGUE CITY – The Clear Creek Wildcats pounded La Porte on Tuesday at Mallory Field.

The Wildcats scored three runs in the sixth on a wild pitch, an RBI single by Sean Kelly and an error.

The teams traded runs for most of the contest, leading to six lead changes in the game.

Clear Creek took the lead in the fourth inning and held on for the victory. The Wildcats scored on a two-run single by Jacob Mihalski, plating Ben Rigby and Satchel McElroy.

Brazoswood 11, Clear Falls 1

LEAGUE CITY – Clear Falls scattered four hits on Tuesday, but weren’t able to push enough runs across, in a loss to Brazoswood.

Chase Lowman couldn’t get it done on the rubber for the Knights, taking the loss. He pitched 22/3 innings, walked seven, struck out two, and allowed four runs.

Adam Prentice went 1-for-3 at the plate with an RBI.

Clear Brook 14, Dickinson 4

DICKINSON – Travis Spruiell went 2-for-4 at the plate, but Dickinson fell to Clear Brook on Tuesday.

Jesus Buendia took the loss for the Gators, giving up four runs, all earned, in 22/3 innings. He struck out two batters and didn’t walk any.
