Part 1

1. Are you a legal resident of the district you’re seeking to represent?

YES

2. Have you ever been convicted of a crime?

NO

3. Have you ever sued a public entity or been sued by one?

YES — My lawsuit against Friendswood ISD is presently on appeal. I am asking the Court for a writ of mandamus to compel the school district to use required PEIMS (Public Education Information Management System) coding and financial accounting standards as mandated by law. This case could eventually go to the Texas Supreme Court.

4. Do you have any unpaid property taxes?

NO

5. Do you have any unpaid parking tickets?

NO

6. Do you have any other debts to a public entity?

NO

7. If elected will you work at the job full time?

NO

8. Will you continue to own or operate an outside business while holding this full-time public office?

This is not a full-time public office

9. Will you have your home phone number listed in the phone book?

My home phone number is a cell phone and it is available to any and all

10. Will you keep regular office hours?

School board members do not keep office hours

Part 2

Q. Why should voters choose you? What are your specific qualifications for the position?

A. I am the only candidate who will be a voice for taxpayers and parents — not one that will represent school administrators and vendors.

+++

Q. What are the issues in this campaign? What is your platform on those issues?

A. There are never any issues in Friendswood ISD. I am running to offer taxpayers a board member who will listen to them during public meetings and invite them to participate to the best of their abilities.

+++

Q. If you promise to control or reduce taxes tell us how and be specific. For example how do you propose offsetting the inflation in government operating costs you cannot control (insurance utilities fuel costs etc.) by cutting costs you can control?

A I will immediately call for a forensic audit and cut costs district-wide by enforcing strict internal control procedures. FISD has never had any internal controls.

+++

Q. What government programs or personnel can be cut to reduce the increasing cost of government? Be specific.

A. Friendswood ISD has never been in compliance with the terms of Texas Education Code 44.0071 and therefore it is impossible to identify district employees. I will call for strict adherence to PEIMS account code structures for ALL expenses in an internal control system that allows transparency so that comprehensive financial decisions can be made.

Q. What specific actions would you take to make the office you seek more accessible to county residents and work efficiently with tax monies?

A. I will not approve financial reports or “consent agendas” which lack details. Detailed reports will enable more people including citizens of the district to understand the financial activities of the school’s administration so that they can participate more intelligently in the decision making processes.

+++

Q. Tell us a about yourself. How old are you? What is your occupation? What is your highest level of education?

(No reply.)
