It looks like the revenue earned from the Texas City Dike access fee before the 2014 fiscal year ends will leave a little more than half a million dollars. Now, maybe the city can add more amenities, No. 1 being decent bathrooms and not just upkeep the seven or eight that are out there now.
OK, we understand why there is no running water and electricity, but the city does have the means to build sturdy, portable toilet enclosures. At least the enclosures will protect them to some degree and give someone a little privacy.
