A Daily News editorial about a lawsuit that will affect 383 units of public housing on scattered sites said: “The Galveston Housing Authority is going to have no role in the construction of public housing on scattered sites in Galveston. None. That point was clear in court documents filed in the Galveston Open Government Project’s lawsuit aimed at blocking the construction of mixed-income developments in Galveston.”
Be afraid; be very afraid! Why? Because if the lawsuit aimed at stopping the construction of Galveston’s mixed-income housing is successful we won’t be able to call the Galveston Housing Authority to seek redress for any problems with the scattered sites, according to Heber Taylor (“Forget about calling your housing commissioner,” Daily News, April 14).
