Make Galveston cleaner and greener

    This is a great start, but what about setting aside a day when volunteers walk Broadway, Harborside, 61st, and Seawall, pulling down illegal signs and picking up any loose pieces of trash? The same for 53rd, 45th, 23rd, Avenue O, etc.

    It's important that businesses, houses, garages and yards are tidy, but it's just as important that our thoroughfares appear clean. Most visitors to the Island don't even see inside the neighborhoods.
