On Monday, appropriately enough, the city of League City will salute local veterans, current servicemen and women and their families by dedicating the recently renamed Hometown Heroes Park in their honor.

The residents of Galveston Island are intimately familiar with the generosity of the Moody family and the foundation bearing its name.
