Europe celebrates another Ryder Cup victory

GLENEAGLES, Scotland (AP) — Tom Watson walked over to congratulate Jamie Donaldson for the shot of his life, a shot that ended the Ryder Cup. He walked up the 15th fairway at Gleneagles with his arm around European captain Paul McGinley even before the final match was conceded to secure another win for Europe.

GLENEAGLES, Scotland (AP) — The tee shots were in play, and Phil Mickelson strode down the first fairway in the Ryder Cup like he has done so many times before. He was in full uniform. He wore golf shoes. And he inserted earphones to listen to the radio coverage of the matches.

GLENEAGLES, Scotland (AP) — Justin Rose swept that magical putter into the air before his ball even reached the hole, and he punched his right fist when it dropped for a birdie. Just like at Medinah, the final match in the Ryder Cup on Saturday gave Europe another big boost of momentum going into the last round.
