Mayor's land deal irks some in Kemah

    It comes out to less than $50.00 per year. WHat he never mentioned was that the land appraised for $40.00/sqft, but he then discounted it to himself to $10.00/sqft since it was a small piece of land, but it is attached to his current piece of land so when he sells it it will sell for more than the original $40.00/sqft. The only person getting a favor is him.

    Sounds like it's time someone paid property taxes on the land. The $16,000 for property the city never used or wanted to use sounds like he's doing taxpayers a favor.
