Kristen Kathleen Cooke Weds Brian James Wright

Miss Kristen Kathleen Cooke and Mr. Brian James Wright were united in marriage on Saturday, April 12, 2014 at 6:30 in the evening in the elegant Campanile Chapel of the Bell Tower in Houston, Texas. The double-ring ceremony was officiated by Bro. Don Pierson, uncle of the bride. Following the ceremony, the bride’s parents hosted a reception in The Bell Tower’s Carillon Ballroom.

On the eve of the wedding, the mother of the groom Ms. Beverly Kessler Wright and Mr. William Debes hosted a dinner honoring the bride and groom at Grappinos in Houston.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Dennis Cooke of Dickinson, Texas. She is the granddaughter of Dorthais Cooke also of Dickinson. The groom is the son of Ms. Beverly Kessler Wright of Kingwood, Texas and the late Larry Jay Wright.

Escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents, the bride wore a couture ball gown by Sottero and Midgley. The fitted bodice with semi sweetheart neckline was adorned with Swarovski crystals and pearls and a Swarovski crystal sash accentuated the waistline. Cascading layers of chic organza ruffles billowed throughout the full ball gown skirt and train. The bride selected a custom veil by Erin Cole. The cathedral length veil was completely outlined with Swarovski crystals with a scattering of stones throughout.

The bride carried a hand tied bouquet of blush pink, ivory, and esperanza roses and peonies. Her bouquet also contained an aurora borealis brooch and heart shaped diamond ring both belonging to her late grandmother June Law.

Miss Ebony Halsell served as maid of honor. Bridesmaids included Erin Hall, Nicole Reamer, Crystal Williams, Jamie Garza, Sharon Cooke, and Michelle Pierson. The bridesmaids wore flowing chiffon gowns by Allure in a soft shade of raspberry. Flower girl was Ada Pierson.

Mr. Mike McGaughey served as best man. Groomsmen included Brian Stewart, Jason Hudson, Robert Remkes, Calvin Garland, Jeremy Cooke, and Jason Hollis. Ushers were Aaron Cooke and Matt Leverton.

Kristen is a 2000 graduate of Dickinson High School and earned a degree in dance from Sam Houston State University. She is currently employed by State Farm Insurance and Master Class Dance Company of Houston. Kristen has danced professionally for many years and is a former Houston Texans Cheerleader and Rockets Power Dancer.

Brian is a 1997 graduate of Kingwood High School. He umpired professional baseball for several years and earned a degree in business from the University of Maryland in 2004. Brian is President/CEO of New Patient Group.

Following a honeymoon in St. Lucia, the couple now resides in Humble, Texas.
