Pianists Julie Loeb Sacks, Michael Zuraw, Shawn Heller and Rodolfo Morales will be the featured musicians at 7 p.m. today at the Moody Mansion, 2618 Broadway, in Galveston.
The pianists are all faculty and alumni from the American Festival for the Arts, which was founded in 1993 to provide accessible, high-quality music education and performance opportunities for youth and to broaden the audience for both American works and the classical music repertory.
The concert, which is sponsored by the Galveston Island Arts Academy, will include the works of Scarlatti, Barber and Beethoven.
Admission is $20 for adults and $18 for students and seniors 65 and older.

Great Outdoors Event on the boardwalk
If you’re going to be in the Kemah area this weekend, then make sure you go by the Great Outdoors Event from noon to 5 p.m. Saturday and noon to 4 p.m. Sunday on the Kemah Boardwalk.
The event will give attendees an opportunity to visit with local home and garden vendors while enjoying some nice tropical tunes as well.

It’s mudbug time — for a cause
For those of you who love crawfish and all of the other fixing’s, your presence is requested at the Prince Hall Shriners of El Katif Temple No. 85 annual Crawfish Boil and Gumbo Festival from noon to 4 p.m. Saturday at 1524 31st St. in Galveston.
Crawfish will be sold for $5 a pound, corn and potatoes will be $1 extra. A bowl of gumbo is $5, and other food items also will be sold. Bottomless beer will be provided as well with a purchase of a glass that’ll cost you $15. BYOB — if you like.
Bring your own lawn chairs and tents.
Proceeds will go toward community outreach programs and scholarships that the group provides for county students.

Helping Hands Festival
The third annual Helping Hands Festival benefiting the Resource and Crisis Center will be from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday at the Rotary Pavilion, 2010 Fifth Ave. N., in Texas City.
Live music will be provided by Sam Navarro and the Lone Star Devils, and there will be a car and motorcycle show, a live and silent auction, and food.

Isle Rotary Crawfish Boil
The third annual Rotary Club of Galveston Crawfish Boil will be from noon to 5 p.m. Sunday at the Big White Tent behind the Discovery Pyramid at Moody Gardens, 7 Hope Blvd.
The Lighthouse Charity Cooking Team will be back, as well as live music, a Zydeco Dance Contest, children’s activities and more.
Admission is free, but crawfish plates are $20 in advance or $25 at the door.
