  • The Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston, along with several Knights of Columbus Districts, will once again host the Silver Rose, which travels from Canada through the U.S. on its way to the Basilica in Monterrey, Mexico, for the celebration of Our Lady of Guadalupe on Dec. 12. The Silver Rose will be at the Mass services at 6 p.m. today at Sacred Heart Church in Galveston; 5 p.m. Saturday at St. Mary of the Miraculous Medal in Texas City; and at 8 a.m., 9:15 a.m. and 11 a.m. Sunday at Queen of Peace Church in La Marque.
