DICKINSON — The high school was put on lockdown for about 30 minutes Thursday afternoon after a parent reported seeing two students with a gun.
Campus police determined the students had an air-soft rifle and not a real gun.
A parent was picking up her child at the high school at about 2:30 when she thought she saw two students with a weapon, Dickinson school district spokeswoman Tammy Dowdy said.
The high school was put on a brief lockdown until officers determined that there was no threat. Still, the two students who had the play weapon face disciplinary action, because school policy prohibits those on campus as well, Dowdy said.
