Kashmere keeps Cougars close, but La Marque prevails, 49-40

Few expected the Cougars to be challenged in what many regarded would be a romp through District 10-4A-II, yet the Kashmere Rams arrived to Etheredge Stadium on Friday night and pushed them for much of the contest.

Wolverines pounce on Knights’ errors, earn first win, 35-7

Two teams entered Veteran’s Memorial Stadium looking for their first district win on Friday, but it was the Clear Brook Wolverines, not the Clear Falls Knights, who benefitted from a plethora of turnovers and walked away with a 35-7 victory.

Remains belong to missing Va. college student

RICHMOND, Va. — Remains found nearly a week ago in a rural area of Virginia are those of a university student who disappeared last month. A man charged in her abduction was arrested Sept. 25 on the beach near Rollover Pass.

Quarantined Carnival Magic passenger is Ebola free
