GALVESTON — Central Middle School students stepped back into history Wednesday when they recreated and re-enacted the Underground Railroad in the school’s auditorium. Day’La Ashford, right, portraying a conductor, tells a group of students to get down before they are spotted, while Calvin Brown, far right, rushes students to the next station. The students will lead tours through the exhibit this week.
