I-45 ramp project to ease congestion

LEAGUE CITY — Some relief may be coming to drivers tired of being stuck in traffic on FM 646 near Interstate 45. Work will begin Monday on a long-planned interstate ramp reversal.

The school’s production of “Urinetown” took home nine awards, including best musical, best leading actress and best supporting actor during the 12th annual Tommy Awards with Tommy Tune on Wednesday night.

District clerk’s office to host special passport event

LEAGUE CITY — Galveston County District Clerk John D. Kinard announced Wednesday that his office will host a special passport event from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. April 26 in the District Clerk’s Office in the League City Annex, 174 Calder Road, to accept and process U.S. passport applications.
