Man accused of paying undercover officer for sex with child

Hundreds pay tribute to Jamaica Beach's McLane

GALVESTON — Hundreds of police officers from Galveston County, joined by officers from across the state, stood guard and paid tribute to Jamaica Beach Police Chief Andy McLane, who died over the weekend after a battle against pancreatic cancer.

Jamaica Beach police chief succumbs to cancer

JAMAICA BEACH — Chief Andrew Douglas McLane, a veteran law enforcement officer whose illness recently forced him to take a leave of absence from the Jamaica Beach Police Department, died Saturday at a Houston hospital, a family friend said.
