FRIENDSWOOD — Pinch-hitter Hunter Kirkland’s two-run homer over the left-field wall in the bottom of the seventh inning gave the Mustangs a walk-off 2-0 win over Ball High in the season finale Tuesday night and a second seed in the playoffs from District 24-4A.

FRIENDSWOOD — A couple is looking for help in their medical battle with their 15-month-old daughter, Nola, who has been diagnosed with Sanfilippo syndrome A, a genetic disorder that leads to progressive brain damage and an early death, often by age 10.

Property values climb across county
