Some rain at my place, I hope it can last a few hours and soak in. I hope the Brazos river can collect some of these showers.

    That next front looks promising

If we miss out on this next one, then we better watch out, because there is nothing on the horizon promising much rain beyond that. Still, I am hopeful that something will develop (down the road (not in the Gulf) if we miss out this at this next chance.

We missed out again, maybe next time.

Oh well. We got some rain, but it was far from what was needed. Measurements ranged from a trace at Scholes Field to 0.05" further east. On the mainland, precipitation totals ranged generally less than 0.10", though one location near Friendswood reported 0.15".

On the other hand, there was one heavy shower along the Seawall west of 61st, but have seen no official measurements on this.

I just looked at the radar Stan. From what I see, you are again on the mark as usual

Maybe we will still get our "first chance". A slot of drier, stable air has been keeping rain away so far today, but some fairly impressive storms are developing off to our west. We shall see!
