Cold, high pressure, a developing surface low in the Gulf of Mexico and a deep upper-level low tracking across the Texas Panhandle will lead to cloudy, wet, chilly conditions for Galveston County through tomorrow.
The good news is that these systems should move out of our area by the middle of the week and the weather for Thanksgiving looks fairly good, if you don’t mind having dress for somewhat chilly temperatures.
Lows Thanksgiving morning should range from the mid- to upper-30s over inland areas of the county to near 40 at the coast.
Sunshine, however, should help the afternoon temperatures make it into the 50s. Still, this is quite a contrast from last Thanksgiving Day, when the high temperature was 69, following a low of 56.
