On Saturday afternoon March 22 the 585-foot bulk carrier Summer Wind reported a collision with a barge towed by the motor vessel Miss Susan near the Texas City Dike. As a result of the collision 168,000 gallons of heavy fuel oil leaked into Galveston Bay. Cleanup efforts are on-going.

The annual "Fight for 518" between Clear Creek and Clear Springs on Friday night was amazingly crazy. The teams combined for 1,210 yards of offense, 125 points and 18 touchdowns. 28 points were put on the board in the first three minutes of the second half. This game is definitely one that students from both schools will never forget.

Thursday night's Battle for South Shore between the Clear Falls Knights and the Clear Creek Wildcats started out well but got out of hand in the second quarter.
