Yes__X____ No_______

I have listed my home phone number and my cell phone number on FB page, Jamaica Beach Watchdogs.

Q: Why should voters choose you?

A: As a 24 year veteran of the Jamaica Beach Police dept., I have come to know most citizens through interaction of calls for service and civic functions and have developed a solid reputation.

I am also a full time resident of 25 years.

I believe that I have an in depth experience and my reputation speaks for itself. Due to my lengthy employment and residency in this fair city, I feel that I possess a vast knowledge of city problems and have developed ideas how to deal with them in contrast to the status quo.

Q: What are your specific qualifications for the position?

A: I have experienced 5 chiefs of police through 24 years of Jamaica Beach police service and have been promoted by each one of them. I have dealt with all phases of city government from the successive mayors through the city managers.

As a resident of this fair city for the last quarter century, I have experienced firsthand all of the problems and benefits of living here and have my opinions as to how these things should be dealt with.

I have spoken with other like minded residents

and believe that I represent a great deal of them and how to deal with these specific problems.

Q: What are the issues in this campaign?

A:

1. Keeping current city taxes at the present low rate.

2. Term limits for Mayor/Council.

3. Residency of police chief.

4.City Homestead exemption for seniors 65 and older.

Q: What is your platform on those issues?

1. Keeping current city taxes at the present low rate.

A: I am an advocate of fiscal responsibility. One city dept. has already exceeded their budgeted funds due to   inexperience and mismanagement. My platform is to ensure that a responsible/qualified dept. head is employed to manage this dept. and its employees.

2. Term limits for Mayor/Council.

A.  City government is not a popularity contest. I believe that term limits will induce responsible ideas from qualified residents running for office to guide this city into the future.

3. Residency of police chief.

A.  I feel that residency of the police chief is a positive, determining factor of community policing. A resident police chief is less likely to guide the police dept. into (candidate’s answers went over word limit)
