Q: Why should voters choose you?

A: I will act openly and keep a balance between the needs of the city and the tax-payers/residents. I will address issues with no pre-conceived decisions about the ways things should be.

Q: What are your specific qualifications for the position?

A: I have forty-plus years of administrative experience in the public sector. I also have eighteen years as an elected official as a Trustee on La Marque ISD’s Board of Trustees so I have been on both sides of management and governance. While I believe that everyone has a right to be heard on issues I believe in following the rules, whether in policies, ordinances or laws.

Q: What are the issues in this campaign?

A: Equal application of the existing ordinances and consideration to changing or clarifying some of the rules and procedures. Consistency is viewed as a problem by many Bayou Vista citizens.

Q: What is your platform on those issues?

A: I pledge to study those issues and receive input from everyone involved before voting on them. We have a representative form of government that depends on receiving input and making decisions as a body politic.
