For 23 years, Heaven Sent Day Care has been more than just a child care facility. It is a safe, loving environment that emphasizes education, shares the love of Jesus Christ, and fosters respect for America.

Tom and Betty Postell, known affectionately as “Papa” and “Nanny,” started Heaven Sent Day Care in their home. Today, it has grown to five country acres in Santa Fe, where all children — from infants to 12-year-olds — find love and guidance, learn to respect themselves and others, build a strong moral foundation, and find new adventures in learning and fun every day.

During the school year, Heaven Sent places a high priority on educational activities.

“We offer preschool for children from toddlers to 5 years old,” Betty said. “We teach them, and we get them ready for when they go to kindergarten.”

In their preschool program, children get helping learning their ABCs, colors and numbers, and much more. No matter what their age, appropriate learning activities are experienced by all.

In addition to typical classroom teachings, Heaven Sent teaches children about our country, including saying the Pledge of Allegiance every day. They strive to build love and respect for our nation and the men and women who have served it.

Heaven Sent is also a Christian organization, sharing the knowledge of Jesus Christ. A blessing is said before every meal at Heaven Sent Day Care.

“Our values have been based on Christianity and loyalty to our country since the beginning,” Betty said.

Tom and Betty have been residents of Santa Fe, where they raised five boys, since 1981. Most of their family still lives in the area. They are thankful to all of parents who have shared their children with Heaven Sent Day Care over the years and remain committed to providing the highest quality care for the children of Galveston County for many years to come.

Heaven Sent Day Care is located at 15911 Fir Road in Santa Fe and is open Monday through Friday from 6 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. For more information, or to enroll your child, call 409-925-8393. Visit Heaven Sent Day Care on Facebook today!
