Becky’s Wigs and Mastectomy Shop is proud to take part tonight in Ladies Night Out at UTMB Health Specialty Care Center at Victory Lakes in League City.

This special event aims to promote education, awareness and access for women during Breast Health month. You can get a mammogram, talk with healthcare professionals, and help yourself to wine and hors d’oeuvres while enjoying a festive atmosphere and shopping at vendor booths. Becky’s booth will have on hand a wide range of breast cancer awareness accessories during the event, from 5:30 to 8 p.m.

At Becky’s Wigs and Mastectomy Shop in League City, the No. 1 concern is always client comfort and satisfaction. Owner Becky Pinion takes pride in offering not only a wide selection of wigs, bras and prosthetics, but also discretion, privacy and personalized attention for each and every client.

The main attraction of Becky’s continues to be the shop’s prolific variety of wigs, hats, turbans, hairpieces and accessories. The wig selection alone includes more than 1,000 contemporary wigs from the best names in the business.

Half of Becky’s shop has also been transformed into a spacious, secluded dressing room for mastectomy patients. Clients may now try on prosthetics and bras by Jodee in complete privacy.

A certified prosthesis fitter, Becky works closely with area doctors to assist and support the client through the difficult transition period and to ensure an exact fit.

Only mastectomy customers can enter the specially-designated area. The visit is handled discreetly, yet allows for personal attentiveness and service from the staff.

A new designer line of swimsuits, for those with vacation plans or water aerobics classes at the YMCA, are individually fitted without anyone knowing their secrets!

If you aren’t sure what you want, the courteous and professional staff is more than happy to help. Becky recommends choosing a style that is compatible with your lifestyle and natural in appearance.

Some clients opt for an entirely new image. If a client is self-conscious and doesn’t want to draw attention, private dressing rooms are available and encouraged.

Once “the perfect wig” is selected, it is trimmed to replicate the client’s preferred look, if necessary.

Each wig becomes distinctive and personal according to the individual’s own tastes and input. With more than 40 years of professional training and experience, clients regard Becky Pinion’s knowledge and skill in hair design a huge benefit.

“Wigs are easier to maintain than natural hair. You just pop ‘em on, comb ‘em and go,” she says, “The wig industry has changed so much in the last few years with beautiful fibers and up-to-date styles. The new fibers used to make the wigs are just wonderful and very light.”

Hair clips, jewelry, purses and handbags are also available to complete your new look.

Becky’s Wigs and Mastectomy Shop has advised all hair types — from thin to thick. Even more impressive, the shop carries wigs for men and children in the store because Pinion wants to make sure everyone and every desire is addressed and served either by herself or someone on her staff.

“I don’t do anything small. Breast cancer patients and survivors from all over the world request our services and merchandise. I can supply that need,” said Pinion.

She is well-known globally as the number one source available to satisfy her clientele’s  current wig and prosthetic preferences.

A breast cancer survivor herself, Becky understands her clients concerns and knows how to soothe them or make them feel more comfortable.

She’s been where they are now. She took her own experience and turned it into something positive for others facing tough times.

Becky’s Wigs and Mastectomy Shop is located at 125 East Galveston St. in League City, a half block off the intersection of FM 518 and state Highway 3, behind the new McDonald’s.

Pinion gladly receives customers Monday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. For more information, call her at 281-332-6407 or 281-554-7559.
